I was greeted at the school by head teacher Alison Moller, who quickly introduced me to a group of school councillors who were to show me around the school. It was explained to me that a boy and girl from each class is elected by their classmates to represent them and work to make the school better for all.

The children showed me and talked about a wide range of work they had done including an amazing display which included computer circuit boards, pictures of childrens families and then their pictures on the reverse.

I was shown the work that was being done in the grounds of the school, with gardening clubs teaching children about growing food and was pleased to see they had my favourite which is the Sun Flower.
I also saw workshops for massage and Yoga where the children were really engaged and enjoying themselves.

I was extremely impressed by how polite, articulate and helpful the children were. The teachers and support staff were clearly extremely dedicated and doing fantastic work to ensure that the children are truly engaged in their learning. They should all be very proud of the work they are doing.
The event is being done with Calm Revive who are working with Julians School to provide a healthy lifestyle programme for 3 days with workshops for all 239 children at the school. The aim for the Healthy Lifestyle Week is to help Julians School achieve some of their ‘Every Child Matters’ targets and measures.
