For the first time, the regular citizenship ceremony was held at County Hall, courtesty of the Marriott Hotel.

The Lambeth Registry office had previously held weddings at County hall, however the managers kindly offered to invite the borough to hold the citizenship there and what an amazing location it was.

Citizenship ceremonies are incredibly important events and locations such as the town hall and county hall help add gravitas to these important events.

My thanks to the Management of County Hall for this amazing opportunity and I hope we get invited back soon to welcome new Lambeth citizens as British citizens in the borough for the first time.

Pan London Citizenship Ceremony

On Friday 21 November I attended a London Citizenship Ceremony to be held on 21st November at City Hall.

The event was an opportunity to celebrate the diversity of the city and welcome individuals as citizens of London and their local areas.

I attended to welcome a Lambeth resident Ms Lina Maria Lievano Rodriguez, who I chatted with following the event. It was a great pleasure to meet Lina and her parents and to talk to her about life in Lambeth bringing up a young family.
