On Saturday 15 November I attended a service of thanksgiving for the life of Malcolm (Tony) Naylor, representing the London Borough of Lambeth on behalf of the Mayor.

During his extremely eventful and fulfilled life Tony Naylor served as Lambeth’s Deputy Lieutenant from 1994 to 2004.

Prayers were led by The Venerable David Painter and The Reverend Keith Smith with a reading from the The Revd Canon Colin Wood and blessing from The Very Reverend Colin Slee, Dean of Southwark.

The ceremony included a very moving piece by the Gospel Choir of St Saviour’s & St Olave’s School where Tony had been a governor.
